Choose flights and the ground itinerary together. An appealing arrival time is only part of the decision: you also need a workable first overnight stop and a clear departure plan. Before committing to flights, ask how each airport option changes the route you are considering. This guide is a planning checklist, not a driving-time estimate or an airport connection guarantee.
Compare the whole journey
Write down the arrival and departure airport, local flight times, number of nights and proposed first and last destinations. If you are comparing different airports for arrival and departure, review the ground arrangements for each version. A shorter-looking line on a map is not enough to establish a better itinerary.

Describe the service, not just the destination

Discuss breaks, child seating requests and large items of luggage before the transport is confirmed. Request the applicable arrangements in writing rather than assuming they are included. Keep the final departure schedule tied to current airline and airport instructions; an illustrative itinerary cannot replace them.
Protect the first and last nights
If the first day looks too crowded, consider an overnight stop before continuing. If the final journey is uncertain, discuss staying closer to the departure airport. Those are options to evaluate with the actual route, not blanket requirements for every traveler.
