CID Gallup was founded in Costa Rica in 1977. In 1979, services were expanded to cover Panama and Nicaragua and, during the early 1980s, the company opened offices in the remaining Central American countries, as well as in various Caribbean nations. Today CID Gallup, headquartered in San José, offers research and consulting services in more than 20 countries in Latin American and the Caribbean.
